Ms. Rivas, a licensed and multilingual clinical social worker, who worked in the nonprofit sector for over 13 year's experience. She is familiar with a range of groups, including LGBTQ+, individuals with substance use issues, victims of domestic violence, sexual abuse within intimate relationships, etc. Since 2019 Ms. Rivas provides services to Erie residents. The current telehealth services for mental health are available. Mrs. Rivas is part of the Behavioral Health Perinatal team which focuses on postpartum and pregnant women. She is a specialist in trauma-informed care and offers the EMDR therapy to adults. She provides group and individual counseling, as well as a Medication-Assisted Therapy Program and referrals for special care facilities, as well as Women's Support Group. Amanda works with Best Friends Animal Society, helping homeless animals find forever new homes. She is a firm believer in the slogan that is the motto of Best Friends, "Save Them Everyone", and she's determined to make Los Angeles into a city that doesn't kill animals.
